Vintage club 30 manual
I gigged with it and it sounded super, and everyone of my friends who hears it gave good praise. I did encounter some problems with this amp. It took me a while to revive it because there is no manual or schematics about this amp on the internet, even on Crate website , but after it was fixed, this thing is solid as a rock right to this moment.
I love this amp. I am extremely happy to say that the Crate VC20 is heavily considered to be one of the best I have ever played through. Its an overall bargain, versatile, tube amp.

This unit has an easy bias setting arrangement. The AC power is supplied by the Variac on the shelf.
Some of the cabinet screws were cross-threaded at one time in the past. So, we can chase them with a die. The captive nuts are cleaned up with a matching tap. Another fine combo amp is ready for the next million miles! The effects loop sounds killer through my PODX or with just a few pedals in the chain.
I can't wait to get the maintenance done on this amp, it's so great. Anyway here are some pics, yall. Messages 3, Member I did the jay mitchell mod and was pleasantly surprised. Juicyjones said:. Brainlock1 Member. I just recently acquired a Vintage Club 50 2x I've read here on the forum that the footswitch jack has had some issues and it seems like I'm having the same problem. I'd like to get a footswitch. I see one on Ebay for the V series and am assuming it would work on the Vintage Club 50?
Also, is it TRS like the effects loop? And, one more question, I can't find a schematic for the 50 online, only the Can I use the VC30 schematic to troubleshoot the 50 or does anyone have a link to the 50?
Thanks so much. LHanson Member. Messages 7, Brainlock1 said:. Rickman Member. The plate voltage these amps mine run to run at will kill them. I've got two of the VC 50 heads. The Ei quad I ran in there had a tube failure at about 25 hours. A JJ quad met the same fate. The stock Sovtek EL84s are pushed hard in these amps, but both stock quads are still alive and kicking.
These amps push those tube really hard, but they seem to respond by delivering very decent tone. These heads sound great.
Enjoy your find. It is a true gem. LHanson said:. My V32 has a footswitch that operates both the channel switching and a boost circuit. I don't know which is the tip and which is the ring at this point.
Lemme see if I have a schematic laying around. I've got an old blond It kills. Damn shame it's like 75 lbs. I wonder how much the voicing of the combos is affected by the bricklike MDF cabinets. They are no fun to move. Totally worth the time, isn't it? Just finished a complete overhaul of one here, all new jacks and pots, too. Apparently, somebody's girlfriend had issues either with his GAS or him. Never seen that many smashed potentiometers on the inside of an amp chassis before.
